THE FRIENDS OF ALDERMAN KNIGHT SCHOOL

The Friends of Alderman Knight School are a committee of parents, carers, friends and staff that meet regularly to raise money for the pupils of Alderman Knight School. It is also an ideal opportunity to get together with other parents and people connected to the school.

The Friends organise events such as summer fetes, Christmas cheer evenings, auction of promises, fashion shows and social occasions such as skittles evenings, trips to London and line dancing.

From the funds raised it is possible to provide extra items and after school activities that would otherwise not be afforded, such as televisions, CD players, extra school equipment, soft play equipment, games for lunch times, cycle helmets, Christmas presents for the juniors, bicycle maintenance and evenings at Cattle Country.

The Friends have also undertaken a major project of a nature garden

benefiting all the pupils and staff at the school. It is a great teaching

asset and also a recreation area for everyone to enjoy.

‘The Friends of Alderman Knight School’ is a registered charity and everyone is welcome to come along to the meetings. Dates of meetings are available from school or checkout the events calendar page.
