My name is Clare Steel and I am the head teacher of
Alderman Knight is a very successful and well-established special school for children aged 4 to 16 with moderate and additional learning difficulties, complex needs and Autistic Spectrum Disorders [ASD]. The majority of these children live within the Tewkesbury and
The school has an excellent reputation and has a highly skilled and dedicated staff team who work together to ensure all children experience an exciting curriculum tailored to meet their individual needs. As a result there is a safe, caring and supportive ethos that enables them to be happy at school and achieve well in their learning. This was recognised by the recent OfSTED inspection [November 2007]. I have included the summary statement from this report as I feel it will help to give you an indication of what makes this school ‘special’.
