Alice Shepherd is inspired by anything that grows, crawls or wags. Alice draws inspiration from her daily life and expresses her passion for animals and nature in her elegantly crafted plates and vessels.
Pupils had the wonderful opportunity to experience a series of workshops in which Alice taught the pupils the process of box making in clay, with her own amazing boxes to hand to provide inspiration:
Making the lids was tricky work!
Each student then decorated their box in the style of one of the artists they had studied. The outcomes were fantastic and very much in keeping with the well established tradition of extremely high standards of artwork produced by AKS pupils:
