Glosfamilies Directory

The glosfamilies directory was launched in 2008, and has developed into a brilliant tool for families in the county looking for information on just about anything they might need but this online facility has just got even better. The directory now also includes a ‘What’s On?’ search facility where families can search for events by date, place and cost (including free events). This will be particularly useful for the Summer holidays.

The improvements also make it easier for organisations running events and providing services to ensure their details are included in the directory as all they now need to do is fill in a simple online form – ‘Add your Entry’.
Other improvements include the addition of a ‘shopping basket’, a process that many families will be familiar with through online shopping.
Families without access to the internet at home can access this valuable online service at their local children’s centre or library. Moreover, this is not a replacement of the person to person service, and the Family Information Service helpline is also available on 0800 542 02 02. This team are also able to deal with more complex requests where ‘brokerage’ is required.
