We had one KS3 team and two KS4 teams, and after a glorious day of football, our KS3 team emerged as runners up to Belmont School.

Above, Oliver and Aidan in action......... and below, David and Jack defending the goal!

One of our senior teams made it through to the final against Culverhill school from Yate.  It was a really hard fought match, with both teams playing brilliantly.  Both goalies were stretched to keep their team in the game and the final result was a draw.  This meant we had to go to a penalty shoot out - all very exciting!!

Harry Brain made a great save to put AKS one goal up, but then the Culverhill goalie managed to do the same!  Penalties then went to "sudden death" and Culverhill finally took the game.  So, after one of the most exciting competitions we've seen, our seniors were also runners up.  Below are some more photographs of our players in action, with these and others also to be found on our Photo Gallery page.

Below, man of the match, Chris, scored a total of 5 goals during the day!

All in all it was a really great day and our pupils did themselves and the school proud!
