The School Council
The School Council meets once a fortnight over lunch with a pupil representative from each of the tutor groups in school. A teacher and teaching assistant help make up the full council. The other pupils in their tutor group elect new pupil representatives each term. The pupils help to make decisions about changes and improvements to school, and also organise activities for fund-raisers.
The council has had many successes, initiating the purchase of lockers, sports equipment and refurbishment of several parts of the school. School Council are also expected to be involved in the
organisation and running of fund-raising events.
All pupils also have the opportunity to vote for a Member of the Youth Parliament [MYP] each year, representing the different districts in Gloucestershire, as part of a national initiative.

As well as the obvious benefits of having a good breakfast to start the day, there is also much to be gained socially; many of our pupils have long journeys to school, and therefore an early start.
Breakfast club goes some way towards meeting the needs of those who have neither the time nor inclination to eat before they leave
