ASDAN [Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network]

This is a widely recognised and accredited entry level Life Skills course followed by a number of pupils across Key Stage 4. The units that contribute to this course include a focus upon:

• Community

• Home Management

• Citizenship

• Information and Communication Technology

• Preparation for Work

• Personal Care

The course is offered at three levels, with pupils completing the appropriate level for their ability.

This course also provides opportunities for pupils from Alderman Knight to work with pupils from Tewkesbury Secondary School. The unit on Community is one area where pupils work together and practical tasks out of school include working together on a local farm one morning a week.
