French
French is taught at Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils having one lesson of French each week. They learn in a practical manner, learning useful words and phrases in a variety of situations including shopping, eating out, personal information, towns, greetings etc. The focus is on communication and understanding with learning being supported through lots of visual stimuli and the playing of games in French. Our intention is that as a result this will lead to a greater understanding of other cultures. Pupils in Key Stage 4 work towards AQA Entry Level or Unit Award qualifications.
